Avoiding Unnecessary Medication: Promoting solutions before medication. Members will advocate for natural and holistic approaches to canine behaviour. By emphasizing training and lifestyle adjustments, we can work to reduce the reliance on behavioural medication, unless absolutely necessary.
Preventing Behavioural Euthanasia: It is K9 Observers wish to create a community that is committed to finding solutions for even the most challenging behavioural issues. By talking with peers we can all strive to provide alternatives and support to prevent the heart-breaking and often unnecessary decision of behavioural euthanasia.
Fighting Against Misrepresentation: K9 Observer will stand against the misrepresentation of breeds, behaviour, and handling style and will focus on facts and evidence-based practices. Our goal is to educate the public and professionals alike to dispel myths and stereotypes.
